UMW held a launching ceremony of the 11th Toyota Eco Youth (TEY) programme. This year’s programme will have a new challenge that takes the TEY beyond the school boundaries to involve the community surrounding the schools.

The 11th TEY programme was officially launched by Tuan Hj. Muhamat Roli Bin Hj. Hassan, Director of Co-Curriculum and Arts Department, Ministry of Education, Mr Takashi Hibi, Deputy Chairman of UMW Toyota Motor and En. Ismet Suki, President, UMW Toyota Motor.

Environment conservation and efforts towards greening the earth has always been close to UMW Toyota Motor. The TEY programme was first conceptualized in 2001 and since its inception, UMW Toyota Motor has been able to inculcate a sense of conscience towards the environment amongst school students.

Through the years, TEY programme has received good response with support by the Ministry of Education. In total, there were 138 schools involved, comprise of over 1,500 students, principals and teachers. Since the inception of TEY, UMW Toyota Motor has spent over RM 4 million to organize and run this programme.

Commenting about the enhanced TEY programme, En. Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor said, “We are very delighted that TEY programme is able to sustain for more than 10 years. With support from the Ministry of Education, this year, we would like to enhance TEY to involve the community around the schools in order to create more awareness on environment conservation.”

This year’s TEY programme is also supported by a non-Profit NGO, the Global Environment Centre (GEC) to provide knowledge and assist the schools to initiate their environment project with the community.

Prior to the 11th TEY programme launching ceremony, a total of 88 secondary students, principals and teachers from eight schools were gathered at Lembah Kiara to go through a series of environmental auditing conducted by GEC. Among the activities are identifying the source of pollution in the drains, issues surrounding the wet market as well as river monitoring around the area.

The Ministry of Education has selected eight schools to participate in this TEY programme. They are SMKA Maahad Hamidiah, Selangor; SMK Ayer Keroh, Melaka; SMK Bukit Jambul, Pulau Pinang; SMK Pendang, Kedah; SMK Tanjung Datuk, Johor; SMK Chalok, Terengganu; SMK Takis, Sabah and SMK Lundu, Sarawak.

“The TEY will conclude with a convention and prize-giving ceremony, which will be held at the end of this year. Upon the success of this new TEY programme, we will explore the possibility of having more schools participation throughout the country to complete in this event next year,” concluded En. Ismet.

The winner of TEY will receive a cash prize of RM7,000, while the second and third winners will each receive RM5,000 and RM3,000, respectively.

Toyota Eco Youth is part of the Environment pillar of UMW Toyota Motor’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The company has other two CSR pillar which are Road Safety and Philanthropy.

Solat Dhuha, Doa dan cara melaksanakan

Ruang waktu dan waktu afdal

Sesuailah dengan namanya dhuha yang bermaksud pagi. Jadi ruang waktunya bermula kira-kira 20 minit selepas terbit matahari atau disebut dalam kitab-kitab fikah sebagai tinggi matahari daripada pandangan jauh sekadar satu al-Rumh atau batang lembing yakni kira-kira dua meter. Waktu solat ini pula berakhir sebelum menjelang waktu Zuhur. Jadi, secara mudahnya dapat difahami bahawa batas waktu solat sunat Dhuha ini antara pukul 7 pagi hingga 1 petang.

Berkenaan waktu afdalnya pula iaitu ketika sinar matahari kian panas berdasarkan sepotong hadis Nabi s.a.w. yang dirakamkan oleh Zaid bin Arqam. Rasulullah s.a.w. menjelaskan: “Solat Dhuha ini afdalnya ketika matahari telah meninggi dan kian panas sinarnya.” Imam Nawawi menghuraikan masa tersebut sebagai masa berlalunya seperempat tempoh siang hari iaitu pukul 10 pagi hingga 1 petang (Kitab al-Majmu’ karangan Imam Nawawi).

Justeru, waktu sedemikian eloklah dilaksanakan solat tersebut, apatah lagi pada saat itu badan memerlukan ‘rehat sebentar’ setelah penat bekerja. Maka disarankan juga sekiranya masa tersebut diisi sekadar empat hingga lima minit dengan sujud menyembah Ilahi sama ada di rumah atau di tempat kerja dengan syarat tidak mengetepikan perkara-perkara atau urusan yang wajib dan utama daripada yang sunat.

Cara melaksanakannya

Banyak bahan media cetak yang boleh dirujuk bagi mengetahui cara melakukan solat sunat Dhuha ini merangkumi bacaan-bacaan dalam solat hinggalah dalam sujud dan doa setelah selesai ibadat tersebut.

Cuma secara asas dan mudahnya berdasarkan hadis-hadis Nabi, solat sunat Dhuha ini dilakukan seperti solat-solat lain, cuma bacaan yang dianjurkan Baginda s.a.w. selepas al-Fatihah, menurut hadis yang disampaikan oleh Uqbah bin Amir, ialah surah al-Syams pada rakaat pertama dan al-Dhuha pada rakaat kedua. Namun begitu, perkara (bacaan dalam solat) ini adalah sesuatu yang subjektif dan tidak statik. Maka tidak perlulah hanya terikat dengan kaifiat tertentu dan bacaan tertentu. Apa yang penting, solat tersebutdiniatkan dengan betul, syarat-syaratnya dipenuhi dan rukun-rukunnya disempurnakan sebaik-baiknya. Begitu jugalah dengan doa selepas solat tersebut.

Doa yang disarankan

“Ya Allah bahawasanya waktu duha itu waktu duhamu, kecantikan itu ialah kecantikanmu , keindahan itu keindahanmu, kekuatan itu kekuatanmu ,kekuasaan itu kekuasaanmu dan perlindungan itu perlindunganmu “. ” Ya Allah jika rezekiku masih di atas langit , turunkanlah dan jika ada di dalam bumi, keluarkanlah, jika sukar mudahkanlah, jika haram sucikanlah. ,Jika masih jauh dekatkanlah. Berkat waktu duha, keagungan, keindahan, kekuatan dan kekuasaanmu, limpahkanlah kepada kami segala yang telah engkau limpahkan kepada hamba-hambamu yang soleh”
